Champion Scottish Terrier bites judge

Back in 1911 when a Scottie dog bit the hand that crowned him, so to speak, the judge got blamed — or at least partly blamed. Read all about it in the New York Times archives.
And since we’re travelling back to the beginning of the last century here’s a photo of a 1915 meeting of the Scottish Terrier Club of Americafrom the Terrierman.

Interesting how back then the dogs were clean shaven and the men had beards and now the men are shaven and the dogs have beards.
