  1. I do not believe I know of any clan that goes by the name of Macdermotte. An impostor who will no doubt be claiming an hereditary peerage next.

  2. Dear Scotsman .

I just want to inform you, that in France there a dog breeding call “Elevage du Beffroi Mac Dermotte”

  3. IN France, they may have Mac Dermottes, but absolutely not in Scotland.

And what on earth is a Beffroi?

  4. Beffroi gras. Fattened goose liver. The French consider it a delicacy. Eat it by the kilo. Especially at this time of year.

  5. Yes, yes, now that you mention it, it’s all coming back to me. I had indeed hear of Beffroi Gras, which is sort of the French version of haggis.

  6. You’re pulling our legs, Dour Scotsman. If you are who I think you are, I know for a fact you don’t touch haggis and you’re rather fond of a certain French bistro. I’ve addressed the injustice of your claim here.
