West Highland Terrier Wednesday: A missing dog is mysteriously returned

I didn’t post this story about a missing Westie last week as it was too damned depressing:

Bonnie, a white West Highland Terrier was taken from her garden near Conway Road playing fields on July 30 between 5pm and 5.30pm. The puppy is described as “very energetic” by owner; Sharon, who left Bonnie to dry out in the garden after she had been bathed.

Sharon who has not slept since Bonnie disappeared is desperate for a reunion and has put posters up in Sale, Altrincham, Chorlton, Stretford, Wythenshawe and Old Trafford in a bid to find Bonnie.

Three weeks later, however the missing dog has been found:

The police found her at an address in Stretford, after a tip-off. They identified her through a microchip.

The circumstances of her disappearance are still not clear and inquiries are continuing.

The family she was found with said they had found her wandering in Stretford, and she was well cared for by them.
