Scottish Terrier recovers from back injury with acupuncture

Heather the Scottie was successfully treated with acupuncture

Acupuncture and holistic veterinary treatments help two Scotties:

Heather’s diet is now 50 per cent protein, 25 per cent carbohydrate and 25 per cent vegetables, with breakfast consisting of three Brussels sprouts.

She has now had 12 treatments since October 2009 and Mrs Anthony, 61, believes the holistic approach has had a major impact on her pet’s health.

She said: ‘It’s very interesting the idea of treating the whole dog rather than just the bits that are wrong.

‘She is now not suffering any more and her spine is as good as it probably can get.’

Mr Wallace has also treated her other Scottie dog Wallace, also nine and who has severe eczema.

He had four sessions of acupuncture while his diet was changed and he was given herbal drops. Mrs Anthony was also told to wash his bedding in non-biological powder.

Four months on his skin is blemish free.

Hmmm, wonder if this would work for the non-eczama itchies.
