Rescue Scottish Terriers may be available in B.C.

A reader writes:
Just dropped off my new Scottie pup for her spay this morning.  On the bulletin board in the vet’s office there was a notice about three registered Scotties from a breeder looking for rescue due to their owner’s health problems.  The kennel is in Surrey, BC.
I don’t know how old the notice is, but they had a 2 year old and a 3 year old female and a 3 year old male.  (I think).  Maybe someone posting on your page might be interested.

  1. Hi,

My sympathiy to you and all who loved your mother. I will ask our animal ministers to put yu on their prayer lists.

I have been in contact with my friend that has been an all time Scottie lover. She lives in Canada and has rescue contacts as well as leads on folks that would like to have some or all of the dogs join their families. They even have transport available from the kennels to the new home.

I wil keep you posted when I hear more.

    1. Hello, I live in Logan Lake, B.C. , the heart of the Highland Valley. I am a Scot as well. Clan Thomson, Clan Gunn. I am a widow and have had two Scotties in the past who agreed to live with me. I adored them! One lived to be 22 years old. I would so love to have a Scottie companion again and a senior or rescue dog would be fine with me. I have a quiet home and am close to many lovely walks. My yard and garden are fenced, as well. I live on a pension but I am able to make certain any wee doggie who lives in my home will get the best of everything. There is good veterinary care close by, too. What do you think? Can you find me a dog?

  2. We are very interested in getting a Scottish Terrier from a rescue place.
We live in Calgary Alberta. Can you put us in touch with a rescue group with Scotties for adoption.
    Thank you.
